Week 3: Research our project and preparing our gardens

Hi this week Timothy, Taiva and the rest of their classmates have been looking around the school to find suitable places to plant flowers to make the school look and feel welcoming to our visitors and nice for teachers and students.

This is our class making progress in making our plots. Their  names are Kyle, Troydon, Fredrick, Katie, Brittyn,Taiva,Timothy, Dylan, Eli, Fred, Evelyn.

The reason why we're doing this so that the soil gets air and it helps to improve drainage and help the plants grow.

Evelyn and Katie are watering and staking their tomato plant in their plot.

This is Eli, Fred and Jordan they are collecting top soil for their garden.

Week 1 and 2: Introduction to our gardens and Planning our Learning Experiences

Week 1: Introduction to our gardens

This is a photo of all the people in our class:

We have started to weed our group gardens. Some gardens already have fruit and vegetables such as cherry tomatoes pumpkins and one unexplained vegetable.

Week 2: Planning our learning experience

This week we get to choose what we are learning so we got some ideas and put them on the board. The top three were science badges, biotechnology + possum control, gardening and planting flowers around the school.

We also had a stray dog visit while we were weeding our gardens. Some of the vegetables I would like to plant are tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber.
